Adverts

Nowadays television audiences are bigger than in the past. Consequently, the adverts can be seen by more people. Increasingly, advertising agencies and advertising experts are using marketing strategies to cause more impact on the consumer. The ads have great power to convince the masses
It is undeniable that advertising manipulates the masses. It is easier to reach a young consumer who does not quite know what he wants. By having such great influence, they can make us wish a product although we don’t need it. Adolescents and children are a vulnerable audience because their personality is not formed yet.

For example, I must admit I personally loathe coca cola. However, this product is so brilliantly advertised that sometimes I would buy it because of the advert. Like this, there are many other cases of products advertised very well.  You only need striking images, special effects on the right place to let the consumer totally overwhelmed.

Many other times we are seeing an ad and not know it is really an advertisement. This is called subliminal advertising and has been used on many occasions. Subliminal advertising acts similarly to normal advertising. We do not realize that they are playing with our wishes.

In conclusion, the advertising is necessary for the sale of products, but often is misleading. For that reason, we should get carried away more by our instinct than a nice ad .

First scene of a movie: The shining

A powerful and dark song flood our senses in the first scene. An enourmous landscape generate us an indescreptible fear. We are surrounded by mountains and we follow a narrow and endless road. It seems to be infinite and it will never end, as if we were not going to get anywhere. This first scene is very shocking, it helps us get into the story easily

Globalization

Resultado de imagen de globalizacionWe all live in a globalized world. This means that money, information and services flow easily from one side of the world to another. Although this may sound like a good thing, globalization only benefits multinationals and big business owners. In this way, the rich are getting richer and the poor are exploited for a meager salary. In addition to the poor working conditions, globalization is guilty of pollution and deforestation. This system has generated more disadvantages than advantages because it only benefits a small group of people.

City vs small town

Living in a small town and living in a big city both have benefits and disadvantages.  For example, if you live in a small town you don't have to  travel long distances to go to some places. Besides, there isn't traffic because it's not necessary to take the car. In contrast, big cities have a lot of people going everywhere and this is so stressing.

On the other hand, if you live in a city, you have more job opportunities. Another reason to live in a city is that you have a lot of plans always: you can go to the cinema or go to museums. In contrast small towns are a bit boring because you have no plans. For those reasons, I'd rather living in a big city.

Poem

Shall I compare you to a blue ocean?
Your eyes touch me with cold hands
And the diamonds of your look slips through my bones
The decline of sea waves embrace my darkness
And your light come with the rising sun
Is in that moment when I realise you are not a ocean
You are a world hidden between my lips
You are the bitter winter smile
You are the most infinite loneliness
Trembling, my wings break in the sand
